Victorian Infection and Immunity Network

VIIN Logo

The aim of the Victorian Infection and Immunity Network (VIIN) is to bring together researchers with multiple disciplines from various nodes within Victoria with an interest in infection and immunity, and for these groups to be able to inform one another of their ongoing research and capabilities.

This will allow the ready identification of collaborative opportunities and required platform technologies across the network, in turn improving research output and performance through strategic funding and increased scientific awareness.

The VIIN evolved from the Monash Infection and Immunity Network (MIIN), a successful Monash Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences research initiative which began in 2004. The VIIN is now also supported by CSIRO Livestock Industries, The Burnet Institute, VIDRL, Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Melbourne Infection and Immunity Domain and Departments of Microbiology and Immunology and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Monash Institute of Medical Research and Monash University Departments of Medicine, Microbiology and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
